As NYC prepares to host soccer players and fans from around the globe to the 2026 FIFA World Cup, we are proud to celebrate our city’s cultural diversity with a World music series taking place from public plazas and parks adjacent to subway station stops along the MTA 7 train line that wends its way through the heart of Queens. The 7 line is famously known as the “International Express” and serves as a vital connector for the dozens of highly distinctive neighborhoods along its route. Free concerts will take place from:

Hailing from the vibrant hub of Jackson Heights, Percussia masterfully blends classical precision, modern innovation, global traditions and popular flair into a cohesive and thrilling sound experience. In celebration of Make Music’s 20th Anniversary, Percussia presents their project Plucked & Struck, featuring Ingrid Gordon on micropercussion and Susan Jolles on Celtic harp.

HONK Family Band

Born on the Open Streets of New York City in 2022, Honk Family Band has fast become one of New York’s favorite, first-call party bands. Bringing the sounds of The Big Easy and beyond to diverse audiences at inclusive events across all reaches of The Big Apple, the ever evolving group plays a wide variety of genres, performing everything from Rebirth Brass Band, Dizzy Gillespie, and Duke Ellington to the Talking Heads, Nirvana, Fela Kuti, and more.

The ensemble includes Fuat Caner Tokgozol on oud, Gilbert Mansour on percussion, Ozlem Rozanitis on vocals, Sal Mamudoski on clarinet, Dila Oktay on kemenche, and Bashar Farran on bass.

Award-winning, singer-songwriter based in New York City. Sara’s music is a colorful blend of Pop, R&B and Folk sounds with heart-felt lyrics in both Spanish and English and is influenced by her childhood split between Guayaquil, Ecuador and Miami, where she studied classical music.
